Finally saw Bridesmaids over the holidays on DVD. It's really, really funny, but also very awkward. There were moments I had to hide behind a pillow because they were so awkward. I think the movie did a great job portraying female friendships and relationships, even if they can be painfully awkward. Melissa McCarthy definitely stole the movie - she was so funny. I love how the air marshal she was hitting on was her real-life husband. Another funny cameo was the movie's co-writer, Annie Mumolo, who played an extremely nervous fellow passenger on the plane.
The gag reel on the DVD was really hilarious. It's clear a lot of them do improv during the movie. The best bits involve Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm. They were a great duo.
