The new pairings for Dancing with the Stars have been announced.
- Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas
- Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus
- Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke
- Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani
- Elisabetta Canalis and Val Chmerkovskiy
- JR Martinez and Karina Smirnoff
- Ron Artest and Peta Murgatroyd
- Ricki Lake and Derek Hough
- David Arquette and Kym Johnson
- Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer
- Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
- Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya
The pair I will most likely root for is Carson and Anna. I find Carson entertaining and Anna is easily my favorite pro ever. Plus I'm looking forward to Anna's expressions whenever Carson started spouting off. I feel sorry for Peta Murgatroyd - she's a new pro this season after being part of the DWTS troupe last year, and she's stuck with Ron Artest. Now Ron can be extremely charming, but he's also a loose cannon. We'll see which Ron Artest shows up on DWTS. Plus if the NBA lockout ends, he has to go back to his day job as a Lakers forward.
Chaz Bono is the first transgender contestant to compete on DWTS, and he's paired with Lacey Schwimmer. Now Chaz is the son of Cher, so I'm hoping some of her genes will rub off and make him entertaining. Let's see how long it takes before someone start asking Elisabetta Canalis about George Clooney, and how many different ways she would be coy about her ex. I don't really care about Kristin Cavallari, Nancy Grace, Chynna Phillips, Rob Kardashian, JR Martinez, or Ricki Lake.
David Arquette would be an interesting contestant. He seems like he could be a decent dancer, and considering how quirky he is, he's probably a decent entertainer too. I wonder if Courteney Cox will show up to cheer him on. Hope Solo is an athlete, and athletes generally do pretty well in this competition. Plus she's paired with Maksim, and Maks will push her hard.
My (very early) prediction is that the winner will be David Arquette.
